2026–2027 SEFHA Fury Evaluations

Registration is now open for the 2026–2027 SEFHA Fury competitive evaluation process.

SEFHA will offer Fury evaluation opportunities at the U11, U13, U15 and U18 levels for the 2026–2027 season.

Evaluation registration closes Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ADT.

Registration numbers will be used to finalize evaluation groups and schedules. Registered families will receive their evaluation schedule following the close of registration.

On-ice evaluation sessions will begin after Labour Day. Labour Day is Monday, September 7, 2026. Final evaluation schedules, player groupings, times and locations will be communicated by email to the address provided during registration and will also be posted on the SEFHA website once registration numbers are confirmed.

Families are encouraged to review all of the information below before registering.

Important Information for Dieppe and Memramcook Players

Players who reside in Dieppe or Memramcook and wish to be evaluated for U11AA, U13AA or U15AA must register for those AA evaluations through Hockey Dieppe-Memramcook (HDM).

SEFHA Fury registration remains available to eligible Dieppe and Memramcook players for:

U13AAA
U15AAA
U18AA

Dieppe and Memramcook players pursuing U13AAA or U15AAA should register for the applicable AAA Only evaluation option with SEFHA.

If they are not selected to a Fury AAA team and wish to pursue AA, their AA pathway is through HDM.

Fury Programs and Registration Options

U11AA

U11 players participate directly in the AA evaluation process. There is no AAA pathway at U11.

Evaluation fee: $150

Reminder: Players who reside in Dieppe or Memramcook must register for U11AA evaluations through HDM rather than SEFHA.

U13

At U13, SEFHA offers both AAA and AA evaluation opportunities for eligible players outside the HDM AA area.

Families must choose the pathway that matches the level or levels their player wishes to pursue.

U13AAA Only

Choose AAA Only if your player wishes to be evaluated for the U13AAA Fury team but does not intend to continue into the SEFHA Fury AA evaluation process if she is not selected to AAA.

Players registered for AAA Only participate in the AAA portion of the evaluation process only.

Evaluation fee: $175

For players who reside in Dieppe or Memramcook, this is the appropriate SEFHA registration option when pursuing U13AAA. If the player is not selected to AAA and wishes to pursue AA, she must register for the U13AA process through HDM.

U13AAA + AA

Choose AAA + AA if your player wishes to be considered for both U13AAA and U13AA Fury.

Players begin in the AAA evaluation process.

If selected to the U13AAA Fury team, the player's evaluation process is complete and a $75 refund will automatically be issued to the original method of payment in accordance with the Fury Evaluation Fee Refund Policy.

If not selected to AAA, the player may continue directly into the Fury AA evaluation process.

Eligible players registered for the combined AAA + AA pathway will automatically continue into the Fury AA evaluation process if they are not selected to AAA. No additional AA registration is required.

A player who is not selected to AAA and chooses not to continue into AA may request a $75 refund before participating in any AA evaluation session.

Evaluation fee: $250

This option is not available to players residing in Dieppe or Memramcook for the AA portion of the pathway.Those players must pursue U13AA through HDM.

U13AA Only

Choose AA Only if your player wishes to be evaluated for U13AA Fury and is not participating in the Fury AAA evaluation process.

Evaluation fee: $150

Players who reside in Dieppe or Memramcook must register for U13AA evaluations through HDM.

U15

At U15, SEFHA offers both AAA and AA evaluation opportunities for eligible players outside the HDM AA area.

U15AAA Only

Choose AAA Only if your player wishes to be evaluated for the U15AAA Fury team but does not intend to continue into the SEFHA Fury AA evaluation process if she is not selected to AAA.

There is no AAA/AA pathway at U18.

Evaluation Schedule

On-ice Fury evaluation sessions will begin after Labour Day, Monday, September 7, 2026.

The final schedule will depend in part on the number of players registered at each level.

Final evaluation schedules and player groupings will be communicated:

By email to the email address provided by the parent or guardian during registration
On the SEFHA website

Registered families will receive information regarding:

Evaluation dates and times
Arena locations
Player groupings
Check-in instructions
Any other information required before the first session

Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring the email address used during registration and the SEFHA website for evaluation information and schedule updates.

Players should be prepared to participate in multiple on-ice sessions during the evaluation process.

Schedules are subject to change based on registration numbers, ice availability and operational requirements.

What to Expect

The Fury evaluation process is designed to provide players with an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities over multiple sessions.

The process may include:

Multiple on-ice evaluation sessions
Skills and/or game-based evaluation
Independent evaluators participating throughout the process
Player movement or regrouping as the evaluation process progresses
Red/White or other game-format evaluation sessions where applicable

Not every on-ice session must be formally scored to form part of the Fury evaluation process.

Player Attendance

Players are expected to attend all scheduled evaluation sessions unless prior approval has been obtained.

Families should advise SEFHA as soon as possible if a player has a legitimate reason that may prevent attendance at a scheduled session.

Missing an evaluation session may affect the amount of information available to evaluators when assessing a player.

Equipment

Players must arrive with full CSA-approved hockey equipment, including a neck guard.

Goalies must wear appropriate approved goaltending equipment.

Additional information regarding evaluation jerseys or check-in procedures will be provided to registered players where required.

Evaluation Fee Refund Policy

Evaluation fees are non-refundable once a player has participated in any on-ice session that forms part of the Fury evaluation process, whether or not that particular session is formally evaluated.

The following exceptions apply to players registered for the combined U13AAA/AA or U15AAA/AA evaluation process:

Player Selected to AAA

A player selected to a U13AAA or U15AAA Fury team who paid the combined AAA/AA evaluation fee will automatically receive a $75 refund to the original method of payment.

Player Does Not Continue to AA

A player who:

paid the combined AAA/AA evaluation fee;
is not selected to a Fury AAA team; and
chooses not to continue into the Fury AA evaluation process

may request a $75 refund by emailing the SEFHA Registrar at registrar@sefhahockey.ca.

The request must be received before the player participates in any AA evaluation session.

Approved refunds will be returned to the original method of payment.

No other refunds will be issued once a player has participated in an on-ice session forming part of the Fury evaluation process.

Evaluation Information for Parents

As part of registration, parents or guardians will be required to acknowledge that they have reviewed the 2026–2027 Fury Evaluation Information for Parents.

Families should review this document carefully before completing registration.

Team Selection

Registration for Fury evaluations does not guarantee placement on a Fury team.

Final team selections will be based on the evaluation process, player eligibility and the requirements of each Fury team.

SEFHA is committed to providing a fair and transparent evaluation process and to using independent evaluation wherever possible.

Players and families will be advised of evaluation progression and team selections through the communication process established by SEFHA.

Individual player evaluation feedback will not be provided.
