How do I register?

Registration is completed online through SEFHA’s registration system.

Simply click Register Now in the Season Registration menu and follow the prompts.

I’m new to hockey. Can my child register?

Absolutely!

SEFHA welcomes players of all skill levels, whether they’re trying hockey for the first time or have played for many years.

Before registering, new players must first create a Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) profile. Once your HCR profile has been created, you can complete your SEFHA registration.

I registered with SEFHA last season. Do I need my Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) number?

No.

If your player registered with SEFHA last season, GrayJay Pay will automatically retrieve their Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) information during the registration process.

What age division should my player register in?

Players register based on their birth year.

During registration, your player’s birth date will automatically place them in the appropriate age division.

If you’re unsure which division applies, please contact the Registrar before registering.

Can I register after the Early Registration deadline?

Yes.

Registration remains open while space is available. Registrations completed on or after September 1, 2026 will be charged the regular registration fee.

Is there a registration deadline?

Registration remains open while space is available.

Some divisions may reach capacity before the season begins, so families are encouraged to register as early as possible.

What happens if a division reaches capacity?

While SEFHA strives to accommodate every player, registration may be limited by available ice time, team capacity, and volunteer resources.

Registering early gives your player the best opportunity to secure a spot.

My child wants to try out for a competitive team. What should I do?

Players do not need to complete season registration before attending Fury evaluations. However, players who wait until after August 31 to register will not receive the Early Registration Discount, even if team selections have not yet been finalized.

Information regarding evaluations, tryouts, schedules, and competitive programming will be posted on our Fury Evaluation Information page.

Does registration include competitive team fees?

No.

Your SEFHA registration fee covers participation in the association’s regular hockey program.

Competitive teams may collect additional fees during the season for tournaments, additional ice time, apparel, team activities, and other approved team expenses.

Is there a sibling discount?

Yes. Families registering two or more players with SEFHA will receive a $75 discount for the second and each additional player. The discount applies to all age divisions, including U7, and may be combined with Early Registration pricing. After registering all players, email the registrar below with the subject line “Sibling Discount Request – [Family Name]” and include each player’s name and division. SEFHA will verify the registrations and apply the discount manually.

Is financial assistance available?

Yes.

Financial assistance may be available through several organizations to help offset the cost of registration.

Please visit our Financial Assistance page for information about:

  • Hockey Canada Assist Fund
  • KidSport New Brunswick
  • Canadian Tire Jumpstart
  • Grindstone Award Foundation
  • PRO Kids (Town of Riverview residents)

I’m not sure whether I should register with SEFHA or Hockey Dieppe-Memramcook (HDM).

The 2026–2027 season includes a pilot project involving SEFHA and Hockey Dieppe-Memramcook (HDM).

Registration requirements vary depending on where a player lives and the program they wish to participate in.

If you’re unsure which association your player should register with, please review our Pilot Project page or contact the Registrar before registering.

Can I request a refund?

Yes.

Please refer to our Refund Policy for information about cancellation deadlines, refund eligibility, and applicable refund amounts.

What if I experience problems during registration?

If you experience any issues while registering, please contact the SEFHA Registrar before creating a new player profile or submitting a second registration.

We’ll be happy to help resolve the issue.
